Lessons Learned by DillyDally

Format: Commander

Commander: Iroh, Grand Lotus

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Temur spellslinger strategy helmed by Iroh, Grand Lotus, built around the Lesson mechanic and graveyard flashback. The primary game plan is to fill the graveyard with cheap instants and sorceries, then use Iroh's flashback ability to recast them repeatedly, especially Lessons for just {1} mana. This generates massive storm counts, token armies, and pinger damage. The deck wins through a combination of Grapeshot or Ignite Memories storm turns, or by draining opponents with Coruscation Mage, Firebrand Archer, and Burning Vengeance. The commander's attack-triggered mana production Firebending 2 further fuels the chain. The deck is highly synergistic but fragile, relying heavily on Iroh and the graveyard.
