Deck overview

This Boros midrange deck is commanded by Queen Kayla bin-Kroog and built around an asymmetric stax and discard engine. The primary strategy uses Rule of Law pieces—such as Archon of Emeria, Eidolon of Rhetoric, Phyrexian Censor, High Noon, and Deafening Silence—to severely restrict opponents to a single spell per turn. Queen Kayla completely breaks parity on this restriction: her activated ability ({4}, {T}) discards your hand, draws equal cards, and cheats up to three permanents (costing 1, 2, and 3 mana) directly into play without casting a single spell. While opponents struggle under spell limits and tapped-entry friction, the deck generates massive board presence and converts discard actions into table-wide direct damage via Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Ingenious Artillerist, and Reckless Fireweaver, closing the game through combined burn and combat by turn 8.
