Deck overview

Silverquill, the Disputant headlines an Orzhov aristocrats-spellslinger deck that marries explosive combo finishes with token generation and casualty value. The primary objective is assembling an infinite loop via Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward and Animate Dead, or triggering Bloodchief Ascension with Mindcrank. Supported by high-octane draw engines like Ad Nauseam, Necropotence, and The One Ring, the deck digs rapidly for fast mana and tutors. Silverquill duplicates critical instant and sorcery spells by sacrificing low-cost tokens, generating immense card and board advantage. Win conditions close out the table immediately through drain payoffs such as Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, Mirkwood Bats, and Ninja Teen, or massive Torment of Hailfire bursts. Robust protection pieces including Grand Abolisher, Voice of Victory, and Silence ensure win attempts bypass opposing interaction. While missing blue stack interaction and carrying some taplands, the deck operates with lethal speed, resilient recovery, and potent asymmetric hate.
