Deck overview

This deck is a quintessential Mono-Green Stompy strategy built around deploying massive creatures well ahead of curve to cast Ghalta, Primal Hunger for just two green mana. Leveraging efficient beaters such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus, the deck regularly amasses 10 or more power by Turn 3 or 4. Once Ghalta enters the battlefield, engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond replenish the hand while trample ensures combat damage punches through opposing defenses. The deck's primary route to victory is straightforward combat damage, amplified by game-ending overruns such as Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While exceptionally fast at producing raw power and threatening commander damage, it remains susceptible to board wipes and instant-speed targeted removal due to limited stack interaction and scarce protection pieces.
