Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Group Slug strategy commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The game plan revolves around deploying inexpensive, symmetrical life-loss and damage triggers like Razorkin Needlehead, Underworld Dreams, and Creeping Bloodsucker. When Valgavoth enters the battlefield, any life lost on an opponent's turn triggers Valgavoth, generating +1/+1 counters and drawing up to three extra cards per turn rotation. The deck rapidly converts this card advantage into severe damage amplification via Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, and Fiendish Duo, closing the game through massive noncombat attrition and aerial commander attacks. It also contains the compact, game-ending combo of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank to immediately eliminate the table. Disruptive pieces like Price of Glory and Torpor Orb constrain opponent interaction during critical operational turns.
