Deck overview

This Golgari Insect tribal deck helmed by Zask, Skittering Swarmlord is a graveyard-centric value engine that aims to fill the graveyard, then use Zask to cast Insect spells and play lands from the graveyard. The deck generates a wide board of Insect tokens through cards like Hornet Queen, Scute Swarm, and Crawling Infestation, while leveraging sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar for additional value. Win conditions include combat damage from a swarm of tokens, drain effects from Aatchik, Emerald Radian, and mass reanimation via Living Death or Bloodline Bidding. The deck is resilient to disruption due to its graveyard recursion and token generation, but is heavily dependent on the graveyard for its primary game plan.
