Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Treasure Aristocrats and burn-velocity strategy commanded by Smaug, Wicked Worm. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the opening turns with efficient rocks and rituals, deploying Smaug on Turn 4 to capitalize on opposing artifact counts, and establishing an explosive card-advantage engine. Because Smaug draws a card whenever mana from a Treasure is spent to cast a spell, every Treasure-funded spell cantrips, allowing the deck to chain low-cost spells, generate massive mana bursts, and trigger artifact-entry and sacrifice pingers like Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver, and Ingenious Artillerist. The deck presents a critical must-answer threat on Turn 5 and reliably closes games on Turn 6 via lethal burn volleys, flying Dragon combat swarms from Draconic Visitor, or alternate win conditions like Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant. Strong redirection interaction and redundant engines ensure high consistency and resilience.
