Thrawn Proxy by user4846630

Format: Commander

Commander: Marneus Calgar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Marneus Calgar is both the deck's draw engine and its infinite-mana combo piece. The primary plan is to make tokens under a doubler (Anointed Procession, Bard, King of Dale, Elspeth Storm Slayer, or Kaya, Geist Hunter), draw off Marneus, and sacrifice the tokens to Ashnod's Altar while a drain creature kills. There is no true hidden commander, but the token doublers, especially Elspeth Storm Slayer and Bard, function as subcommanders. Secondary plan: value artifact/vehicle beatdown with Shorikai, Thopter Squadron, Sai, and Tezzeret when the loop is unavailable.
