Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis Spellslinger deck commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The strategy focuses on attacking with Azula to generate {R}{R} through Firebending 2 and duplicate any spells cast during combat. The deck leverages Magecraft and spell-trigger payoffs like Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and Fiery Inscription to turn cheap instants into massive card advantage, Treasure generation, and global burn. It rapidly ramps in the early turns, establishes Azula by Turn 4, and initiates an explosive storm turn by Turn 5. The primary routes to victory involve burning the table with copied spells and Magecraft triggers, generating overwhelming mana with Mana Geyser into a game-ending Exsanguinate, or assembling a three-card infinite combo with Dualcaster Mage or Naru Meha, Master Wizard blinking indefinitely with Essence Flux alongside an enter-the-battlefield damage outlet like Impact Tremors or Coruscation Mage.
