Deck overview

This Sultai deck harnesses the unique graveyard-copying ability of Thranduil, the Elvenking to execute a potent creature-based combo. By using premier graveyard tutors such as Buried Alive and Jarad's Orders, the deck deposits key utility Elves—specifically Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord—directly into the graveyard. Thranduil inherits all of their activated abilities simultaneously, combining Magistrate's counter generation with Devoted Druid's self-untap cost to produce infinite mana and infinite +1/+1 counters. The deck then translates this infinite power into immediate victory through Jarad's life-drain ability, Walking Ballista, or Exsanguinate. Supported by dense low-cost Elf mana dorks and card-selection engines like Underrealm Lich and Ripples of Undeath, the strategy plays smoothly on curve, aiming for a decisive Turn 5 win.
