Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis Discard Combo build commanded by Kefka, Court Mage. While Kefka provides steady card draw and asymmetric discard attrition in the command zone, the primary path to victory is the compact Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation combo. Supported by 14 ramp and ritual pieces, including Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, and low-cost Talismans, the deck consistently generates the three mana ({U}{U}{B}) needed to execute its primary win line on Turn 4. Continuous card advantage from Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and The One Ring keeps hand quality high, while universal tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor reliably find missing pieces. The deck defends its win attempts with low-cost counterspells such as Fierce Guardianship, Flusterstorm, and Mindbreak Trap, alongside uncounterability from Hexing Squelcher. Should the primary attempt be disrupted, Underworld Breach provides swift same-cycle recovery via Brain Freeze loops.
