Deck overview

This Mardu Vampire tribal deck, helmed by Edgar Markov, operates as an aggressive go-wide swarm and aristocrats engine with an infinite life-drain backup. The primary strategy leverages Edgar's Eminence ability from the command zone to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever a Vampire spell is cast. By deploying a low-curve sequence of 1-drop and 2-drop Vampires on the opening turns, the deck rapidly establishes a dense board presence by Turn 3. It transitions into critical threat onset by Turn 5 using mass anthems and damage multipliers such as Shared Animosity, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Sanctum Seeker, or Akroma's Will, closing out the game across two response cycles on Turn 7. If combat is stalled, the deck seamlessly pivots to a two-card infinite drain combo between Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, easily assembled via efficient black tutors.
