Deck overview

This deck is a traditional Orzhov Aristocrats strategy led by Edgar, Ancient Bloodlord. Edgar serves as both a life-gain engine and a sacrifice outlet in the command zone. The deck curves into small creatures and token generators like Call to the Feast and Queen's Commission, then uses sacrifice outlets like Bloodthrone Vampire and Nantuko Husk alongside drain creatures such as Cruel Celebrant and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim to bleed opponents while attacking. Running only two ramp pieces and zero tutors, the list relies heavily on natural draws and deliberate combat math. Its high-end ceiling includes Bolas's Citadel and God-Eternal Bontu for late-game refills. While resilient against single-target removal due to graveyard recursion, its reliance on small creatures and a lack of protective spells leave it vulnerable to sweepers.
