Blue purity by GoombaJake

Format: Commander

Commander: Baral, Chief of Compliance

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue counterspell control deck that wins by burying the table in card advantage and then finishing with flying tokens or decking itself. Baral, Chief of Compliance reduces your instants and sorceries and loots whenever you counter a spell, letting you chain counters while digging for engines. Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic, and Docent of Perfection turn every counter and cantrip into a growing air force, while Laboratory Maniac, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, and Triskaidekaphile offer alternate deck-out wins. Guile acts as a hidden commander, stealing any spell you counter, and Hullbreaker Horror provides a late-game lock that bounces the board with every spell you cast.
