Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos Dragon and Treasure strategy commanded by Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug provides a durable 8/7 flying body with native indestructible and haste that turns any noncombat damage dealt to him into equal Treasure tokens. The game plan accelerates mana through low-cost rocks, creatures, and enchantments during turns 1 to 4, casting Smaug on turn 5. The deck then uses mass noncombat damage spells like Blasphemous Act and Chain Reaction to wipe opposing creatures while simultaneously targeting Smaug to produce massive bursts of 8 to 13 Treasure tokens. Aristocrat burn engines such as Mirkwood Bats, Ingenious Artillerist, and Marionette Apprentice convert these token creation and sacrifice events into lethal life loss across all opponents. Independent dragon bombs like Terror of the Peaks and Hellkite Tyrant provide strong backup win conditions.
