Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie tribal strategy led by Varina, Lich Queen. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost Zombie creatures in the early turns, casting Varina on Turn 4, and utilizing her combat trigger to loot through the library while gaining life and stocking the graveyard. Discarded Zombie cards fuel Varina's token-creation ability and synergize with payoffs like Archfiend of Ifnir, Bone Miser, and Monument to Endurance. As the Zombie horde widens, tribal lords such as Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Eternal Skylord provide decisive stat boosts and evasion. Incidental life drain from Corpse Knight, Wayward Servant, and Undead Hand Ninja steadily reduces opposing life totals, setting up a decisive combat finish by Turn 7. If the board is cleared, powerful mass reanimation spells like Zombie Apocalypse and Bloodline Bidding allow the deck to rebuild rapidly from the graveyard.
