Commander: Kaervek the Merciless

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Kaervek the Merciless heads a Rakdos group-slug deck that wins by turning every spell the table casts into life loss. The primary kill is Heartless Hidetsugu plus a damage doubler-Solphim, Twinflame Tyrant, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Mjolnir, or Obosh-dealing 40 to each opponent in one activation; Wound Reflection backs this up by repeating Hidetsugu's damage at end step. Kaervek and backup punishers like The Lord of Pain and Painful Quandary punish enemy spells, while tutors and burst rituals accelerate the 9-mana combo. The deck wants to control the timeline: assemble Hidetsugu and a doubler, protect the kill turn with redirect spells, and burn the table before opponents stabilize.
