Landfall by user1907063

Format: Commander

Commander: Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait is a single-faced commander and the deck's engine rather than its finisher: it turns extra land drops into card draw. The primary plan is to ramp heavily, resolve Aesi, then chain extra land plays into Scute Swarm and Meloku tokens while digging toward a landfall loop. The main loop pairs Retreat to Coralhelm with any land-play creature and a bounceland to retrigger landfall endlessly; Amulet of Vigor and Tireless Provisioner convert it to mana. Kodama of the East Tree acts as a hidden combo partner in the 99, dropping extra free permanents off landfall. The deck wins by attacking with an arbitrarily large token army, usually with haste from Concordant Crossroads.
