Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

RG target-storm aggro deck built around The Howling Abomination. The commander has haste and both grows and deals 2 to each opponent whenever it is targeted by a spell, so the deck loads cheap cantrips and pump spells, chains them with draw, and uses Zada, Hedron Grinder, Mirrorwing Dragon, and Leyline of Resonance as force multipliers. Kediss mirrors a lethal commander hit to every opponent; Chandra's Ignition turns a giant Howling into a one-spell kill. A small value package of Young Pyromancer, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Guttersnipe supplies tokens, mana, and incidental damage. The plan is fast and protection-backed, but soft to heavy removal and rule-of-law effects.
