Deck overview

This Simic deck is built around Absorbing Man, a versatile 3-CMC commander that turns into a 4/4 copy of any artifact, non-Aura enchantment, or land on the battlefield at the start of your precombat main phase. The primary strategy leverages this copying ability to accelerate mana rapidly by cloning high-yield mana rocks like Thran Dynamo, Hedron Archive, The Eternity Elevator, and lands like Lotus Field. Once big mana is online by Turn 4 to 5, the deck pivots into casting overwhelming high-CMC payoffs such as Sandwurm Convergence, Memnarch, the Warden, Shark Typhoon, and Unnatural Growth. It also features a potent land synergy where copying Dark Depths with Absorbing Man creates an immediate 20/20 flying indestructible Marit Lage token due to having zero ice counters. The deck maintains control using a dense suite of asymmetric mass bounce spells like Evacuation and Perplexing Test.
