Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis combo-control list led by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. It blends proactive discard attrition with fast, compact win conditions. The primary game plan races toward a Turn 3 victory using Thassa's Oracle combined with Demonic Consultation, which exiles the library for an instant win. If the primary plan is contested, the deck seamlessly transitions into alternate win routes including Underworld Breach storm loops with Brain Freeze, infinite hasty attackers via Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame, or infinite combat steps with Rionya, Fire Dancer and Combat Celebrant. In slower games, Kefka, Court Mage provides continuous card advantage by forcing table-wide discards and drawing fresh cards, supported by resource-punishing permanents like Oppression, Notion Thief, Waste Not, and Tergrid, God of Fright. A dense suite of cheap countermagic and anti-counter tech protects the deck during critical turns.
