Format: Commander

Commander: Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis Villain tribal deck that leverages Doctor Doom, King of Latveria as a drain engine and asymmetry generator. The primary game plan is to deploy the commander early, then use connive triggers across a dense creature suite to quickly churn through the library and discard lands. Each land discarded triggers Doom's ability for 2 life lost from each opponent, making this the deck's primary win condition. The strategy relies heavily on generating multiple copies of the commander (via Spark Double, Chameleon, Master of Disguise, and Loki, the Deceiver) to multiply the drain per land discard. The deck also packs a modest suite of removal, counterspells, and mass removal to survive while setting up a critical mass of discards paired with land recursion from Crucible of Worlds, Bone Miser, and the commander's own ability.
