Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-green stompy deck built around Gargos, Vicious Watcher, focusing on ramping into massive Hydra creatures and multiplying +1/+1 counters. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through 1-drop mana elves, land ramp, and cost reducers to cast Gargos reliably on Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Gargos reduces the cost of all Hydra spells by four generic mana while controlling opposing boards through fight triggers when targeted by utility spells. On Turns 5 through 7, the deck deploys overwhelming threats like Kalonian Hydra, Primordial Hydra, and Railway Brawler, scaling power with Unbound Flourishing, Branching Evolution, and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus. Game-ending damage is pushed through trample enablers, Overwhelming Stampede, and Finale of Devastation. A robust package of low-cost protection spells shields key creatures from spot removal and sweepers.
