Deck overview

This Boros deck executes an aggressive strategy built around Heroic synergies and combat tricks, commanded by Anax and Cymede. The primary game plan deploys low-cost creatures like Akroan Crusader and Favored Hoplite in the opening turns, followed by the commander on Turn 3. Targeting the commander with inexpensive combat buffs such as Homestead Courage and Coordinated Assault triggers team-wide stat increases and trample to push heavy combat damage. As a secondary win condition, the deck features a two-card combo of Stuffy Doll and Guilty Conscience to eliminate a single opponent. However, the list faces notable resource constraints. Operating on thirty lands with Sol Ring as its sole ramp piece, mana development can stall early. With minimal card draw outside of Feather, the Redeemed, the deck quickly empties its hand and is vulnerable to board wipes due to limited defensive protection spells.
