Commander: Grist, the Hunger Tide

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Grist, the Hunger Tide leads a Golgari insect graveyard deck that mills itself, generates Insect tokens, and wins through mass drain effects, Grist's ultimate, and recursive token combat. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with creature cards, then convert that depth into tokens and life loss via Aatchik, Syr Konrad, Izoni, and Grist's -5. Secondary paths include wide token attacks with Hornet Queen, Scute Swarm, and Giant Adephage, plus mass reanimation with Living Death and Patriarch's Bidding. The hidden Grist, Voracious Larva // Grist, the Plague Swarm acts as a redundant second copy when reanimated, providing artifact/enchantment removal and a mass token ultimate.
