Deck overview

This Abzan deck utilizes Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa to combine early toxic and infect aggro with incremental card advantage and proliferation control. By deploying low-cost infect creatures like Glistener Elf, Plague Stinger, and Bloated Contaminator alongside global poison enablers such as Ichor Rats, the deck rapidly infects all three opponents to meet Ixhel's Corrupted threshold. Once active, Ixhel exiles playable resources directly from opponents' libraries each turn cycle, generating compounding card flow without spending additional mana. The deck accelerates its win condition by multiplying poison counters through proliferation engines like Evolution Sage, Contaminant Grafter, and Contagion Engine, or by executing sudden alpha strikes with pump spells such as Scale Up, Become Immense, and Triumph of the Hordes. While it lacks creature tutors and instant-speed stack interaction, its dense ramp curve, indelible poison mechanics, and built-in threat resilience provide consistent pressure and steady mid-game inevitability.
