Death Mill by SmirgLip

Format: Commander

Commander: Street Urchin and Zellix, Sanity Flayer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet mill-and-ping deck pairs Zellix, Sanity Flayer with the Street Urchin background to convert milling into a swarm of 1/1 Horror tokens, then sacrifice those tokens (or artifacts) for direct damage. The primary plan floods the board with cheap mill engines (Ruin Crab, Altar of the Brood, Mesmeric Orb, Manic Scribe) so Zellix's Hive Mind triggers constantly, while red damage multipliers (Impact Tremors, Witty Roastmaster, Goblin Bombardment, Hellrider, Raid Bombardment) and the Street Urchin ping ability turn the tokens into life-total pressure. Secondary paths include pure mill finishes amplified by The Water Crystal and The Mindskinner (which converts all damage into extra mills) plus combat with go-wide Horrors under Shared Animosity. The deck plays as a grindy value engine that slowly empties libraries while chipping opponents down, relying on a dense counter suite to protect its setup rather than explosive combos.
