Abyssal Anger by Avallonis

Format: Commander

Commander: Kenessos, Priest of Thassa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kenessos, Priest of Thassa is a single-faced, top-deck engine commander. The primary plan is to set up the top of the library with scry, fetch, and cheap cantrips, then use Kenessos's {3}{G/U} ability to put a Kraken, Leviathan, Octopus, or Serpent directly into play. Cost reducers make activations almost free. Secondary paths include Monster Manual, Quest for Ula's Temple, Lurking Predators, and hard-casting sea monsters off Aesi's extra land drops. Once the board has a few huge serpents, Serpent of Yawning Depths makes them unblockable and Koma, World-Eater or Spawning Kraken convert hits into token armies. Aesi acts as the closest hidden commander, turning landfall into cards and mana.
