Grosse Berta by user1192717

Format: Commander

Commander: Berta, Wise Extrapolator

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Berta, Wise Extrapolator is the deck's mana engine and token factory. The primary plan is to put +1/+1 counters on Berta, use her trigger to bank colored mana, and spend it on a giant Fractal token or on Berta herself as a one-shot commander. Proliferate is the real accelerant: Evolution Sage, Flux Channeler, Contentious Plan, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus multiply counters across the board, while Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres acts as a hidden commander by drawing a card on every proliferate. Vorel, Growth Curve, Deepglow Skate, and Fractal Harness provide the doubling effects that make Berta lethal. A secondary path uses Esix, Fractal Bloom and Body of Research to produce enormous copy tokens, finished with trample, haste, or Rogue's Passage.
