Elves are king by spicyonion

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Sultai elfball deck turns Thranduil, the Elvenking into a graveyard-powered hybrid of a mana engine, toolbox, and draw engine. The commander's second ability rewards every other legendary Elf that enters with two cards then a discard, which conveniently feeds the yard for his first ability. The primary plan is to stock the graveyard with a package of Elf activated abilities - Devoted Druid for untapping, Incubation Druid to refresh +1/+1 counters, Priest of Titania or Elvish Archdruid for explosive mana, Elvish Piper for cheating creatures, and Lathril, Blade of the Elves for a table-wide drain - then let Thranduil operate that entire toolbox. When the combo is not available, the deck plays a classic go-wide Elf token strategy with Imperious Perfect, Elvish Warmaster, and Doubling Season, finishing through Overwhelming Stampede or a mass combat swing.
