Old Rutstein Take 2 by Orzhov667

Format: Commander

Commander: Old Rutstein

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Old Rutstein leads a BG self-mill deck whose core plan is to turn the graveyard into a resource engine and then into overwhelming board presence. Cheap enablers such as Stitcher's Supplier, Satyr Wayfinder, and Grisly Salvage fill the graveyard while Old Rutstein adds an upkeep mill and incidental token generation. Huge, graveyard-scaled creatures-Splinterfright, Golgari Grave-Troll, Lord of Extinction, Nighthowler-form the primary threats. The deck wins through either a Kessig Cagebreakers alpha strike or a Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord activation that sacrifices a massive creature to drain the table. Recursion from Genesis, Life from the Loam, and World Shaper lets it rebuild after disruption. No hidden commander exists; Old Rutstein is a value engine, not a required combo piece.
