Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Azorius token-and-draw deck is helmed by Bard, King of Dale, whose two replacement effects warp the entire build: every draw beyond the first of each draw step draws two cards instead, and every token creation is doubled. The deck leans into both halves simultaneously - a dense package of "draw your second card" payoffs (Alandra, Sky Dreamer, Mischievous Mystic, Prince Imrahil the Fair, Minn, Wily Illusionist, Homunculus Horde) and token producers that, once doubled by Bard, trigger draw engines like Caretaker's Talent and Mister Fantastic, Reed Richards. Wins come from an overwhelming combat step (Moonshaker Cavalry, Knowledge Is Power, Grand Crescendo) or from milling/drawing the library out with Traumatize, Mathemagics, and wheels into Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, Laboratory Maniac, or Thassa's Oracle. Twenty-Toed Toad offers a compact alternate win at twenty cards in hand.
