Commander: Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck leverages Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant to establish a dominating lock by countering the first artifact, instant, or sorcery each opponent casts each turn while duplicating your own spells. The deck controls the pace of play through an extensive suite of counterspells, bounce effects, and instant-speed card draw. It steadily converts this continuous card advantage into decisive victory using spell-trigger token generators like Shark Typhoon, Metallurgic Summonings, and Talrand, Sky Summoner. Alternatively, the deck closes out the game by locking down opposing boards with Hullbreaker Horror loops or commandeering opposing game-winning spells with Guile and Sudden Substitution.
