Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is built around Amalia Benavides Aguirre, leveraging classic Soul Sisters mechanics to create a compounding lifegain and card-filtering engine. Low-cost creatures such as Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Auriok Champion ensure that every creature entering the battlefield triggers Amalia's explore ability, placing lands into hand and loading counters onto your commander. Midgame payoffs like Angelic Accord, Resplendent Angel, Regal Bloodlord, and Valkyrie Harbinger convert lifegain into a formidable flying token army. In the late game, Bolas's Citadel can convert the accrued life total into massive card velocity, while Amalia threatening an exact 20-power trigger acts as a one-sided creature wipe when paired with indestructible protection spells like Make a Stand or Selfless Spirit. The deck plays a fair, creature-centric midrange game plan with steady incremental advantage, resilient redundancy, and efficient single-target creature removal.
