Deck overview

This Boros deck operates as an activated-ability combo engine with an alternative go-wide token strategy. Commanded by Zirda, the Dawnwaker, the primary game plan exploits Zirda's cost-reduction ability to break Basalt Monolith and Grim Monolith, generating infinite colorless mana. The deck channels this mana into instant-win sinks like Walking Ballista or Goblin Cannon to end the game on the spot. When the combo is disrupted or pieces are unavailable, the deck pivots to large token generation through spells like Finale of Glory, March of the Canonized, and Storm Herd, as well as combat threats like Hellkite Tyrant. Its major challenges stem from Boros card-velocity limitations: with almost no repeatable card-draw engines and a modest tutor suite, it relies heavily on natural draws. Protective pieces like Grand Abolisher and Voice of Victory provide clean windows to combo off when drawn.
