Commander: The Wise Mothman

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Sultai deck helmed by The Wise Mothman is a rad-counter mill engine that converts milling into +1/+1 counters and drain. The primary plan is to stack rad counters on opponents - via Mothman's ETB/attack trigger, Bloatfly Swarm, Glowing One, Screeching Scorchbeast, Mirelurk Queen, and Vexing Radgull - then proliferate them with Evolution Sage, Inexorable Tide, Thrummingbird, and Agent Frank Horrigan so opponents mill themselves out at upkeep. Milling nonland cards triggers Mothman's second ability, supercharged by a six-card doubler package (Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, Kami of Whispered Hopes, The Earth Crystal, Winding Constrictor). The deck wins through mill-out (The Water Crystal, Mesmeric Orb, Ruin Crab), drain from Syr Konrad, the Grim and Bloodchief Ascension, or combat with enormous counter-stacked creatures, with Muldrotha, the Gravetide in the 99 as a recursion engine.
