Deck overview

This deck leverages Auntie Ool, Cursewretch to turn -1/-1 counters and the Blight mechanic into an engine of continuous card advantage and opponent life drain. Early turns prioritize establishing low-cost mana dorks and rocks to deploy Auntie Ool ahead of curve. Once the commander is online, recurring Blight activations trigger draw triggers while distributing counters across opposing threats. The midgame transitions into board suppression through cards like Kulrath Knight, Carnifex Demon, and Soul Snuffers, rendering opposing creatures incapable of combat while shrinking their stats. The endgame closes via wide token swarms from Nest of Scarabs, aristocratic drain from Obelisk Spider and The Meathook Massacre, or an infinite-pump loop with Devoted Druid and Quillspike. The deck maintains steady recovery through graveyard recursion spells, allowing it to outgrind creature-heavy opposition effectively.
