Format: Commander

Commander: Gretchen Titchwillow

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Gretchen Titchwillow is the mana-sink engine of a Simic elf/druid combo deck. The primary plan is to develop a board of cheap mana elves, use Gretchen to convert extra lands into cards, then assemble an infinite-mana loop with Umbral Mantle or Staff of Domination. Once the loop is live, Staff plus Prodigal Sorcerer pings every opponent, Helix Pinnacle wins on the next upkeep, or a Mantle-pumped unblockable commander/elf deals lethal. Secondary paths are Thranduil landfall Elf tokens and a bounce/counter tempo game. The hidden commander in the 99 is Thranduil, Sindarin Liege // Silvan Rally, whose landfall tokens and lord buff raise the elf count that feeds the deck's main combo.
