Budget Blackwaltz by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Black Waltz No. 3

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Rakdos "spellslinger" burn deck is helmed by Black Waltz No. 3, a evasive commander that deals 2 damage to each opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell. The core strategy is to assemble multiple "pingers" - creatures like Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, and Electrostatic Field - alongside token generators such as Young Pyromancer and Queen Brahne that create additional Wizard tokens with their own burn triggers. The deck runs a dense package of cheap card-advantage spells (Night's Whisper, Faithless Looting, Big Score) and interaction to maintain spell velocity. Damage is dealt incrementally across all opponents simultaneously, with the commander's deathtouch and flying also enabling combat damage when needed. Tor Wauki the Younger amplifies all noncombat damage by +1, transforming small pings into meaningful chunks. The deck lacks tutors and infinite combos, winning through sustained value and repeated trigger activations rather than explosive turns.
