Attack of the Germs by tyler9s

Format: Commander

Commander: Ekthi, Contaminator Priest

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 34

Deck overview

This mono-white aggressive midrange deck leverages Ekthi, Contaminator Priest to turn every Equipment spell into an immediate Phyrexian Germ creature token via living weapon. Because Ekthi provides a static +1/+1 buff to Phyrexians, Germs survive even when equipped with zero-toughness boosts, allowing cheap artifacts like Colossus Hammer to enter as massive 11/11 threats for a single mana. The deck accelerates into Ekthi by Turn 4 and reaches critical combat onset on Turn 5. Supported by Equipment tutors like Stoneforge Mystic and draw engines like Puresteel Paladin and Sram, Senior Edificer, the deck deploys a wide, heavily equipped army. Protection pieces such as Commander's Plate, Lightning Greaves, and Flawless Maneuver shield key permanents from removal. The deck consistently eliminates opponents through chunk combat damage by Turn 7, offering strong independent backup lines when operating without its commander.
