Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund midrange build helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, centered around weaponizing -1/-1 counters. The deck converts counter placement into asymmetric resource flow: drawing cards whenever counters are placed on friendly creatures while draining opponents when placed on theirs. Supported by token generators such as Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs, the deck turns -1/-1 counter distribution into expanding boards of deathtouch Snakes and Insects. Powerhouse engines like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and All Will Be One turn incremental counter placement into mass creature removal and heavy direct damage. Defensively, Kulrath Knight and Maha, Its Feathers Night neutralize opposing combat steps. The deck aims to assemble its engine by Turn 4, present a dominant game-controlling board by Turn 6, and close the game through combat damage and drain triggers by Turn 8.
