Spikey Boi by AngelofKhonshu

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-power mono-black storm/life-pay deck helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, who converts life directly into black mana. The core plan is to accelerate K'rrik out early with rituals and mana dorks, then storm off - chaining cheap black spells, rituals, and draw spells into a lethal Tendrils of Agony or an Aetherflux Reservoir life-gain loop. The primary alternate win is the two-card infinite drain of Chain of Smog + Professor Onyx, with Bolas's Citadel + Aetherflux and Necrotic Ooze lines as backup. A dense tutor suite (Diabolic Intent, Insatiable Avarice, Entomb, Buried Alive, Razaketh, the Foulblooded) ensures the deck finds its pieces, while Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Ayara, First of Locthwain provide devotion-based drain and incidental lifegain to fuel the life-payment engine.
