Life of the Party 🧙‍♂️ by samhicks8627

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest is a legendary-Wizard spellslinger deck: the commander's combat trigger free-casts one big instant or sorcery each turn, scaled by the number of legendary Wizards on the battlefield. The deck develops with cheap legendary Wizards, then uses value engines such as Kykar, Wind's Fury, Veyran, Archmage of Runes, Jace, and Gale to churn through spells and create Spirit tokens. Secondary plans include copying and stealing effects through Gandalf the Grey, Naru Meha, and Insurrection, plus an asymmetric legendary board wipe in Urza's Ruinous Blast. Combat wins come from Insurrection, a doubled token army via Multiversal Incursion, or a pumped Wizard/Spirit swarm with Balmor and Adeliz. There is no true infinite combo; the deck wins through superior card volume and explosive combat steps.
