Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Chief of the Wilds to spearhead an aggressive Wolf kindred and counter-doubling strategy. The primary plan leverages early green ramp into a Turn 4 commander deployment, followed immediately by explosive token engines such as Hollowhenge Overlord, Chief Warg's Company, and Kindred Summons. Because the commander doubles all triggered abilities of your other Wolves and Battles, each Wolf upkeep trigger and enter-the-battlefield ability generates cascading value. Token multipliers like Doubling Season and Parallel Lives compound this growth exponentially, while +1/+1 counter doublers quickly turn the commander and pack into massive threats. The deck converts this overwhelming board presence into a decisive Turn 6 table finish using trample enablers like Craterhoof Behemoth, Overwhelming Stampede, and Garruk's Uprising. Robust protective spells like Heroic Intervention and Asceticism shield the pack from standard removal, making the creature swarm resilient against conventional interaction.
