Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Faerie tribal tempo strategy led by Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor. The list focuses on flashing in evasive flyers on opposing turns, maintaining card advantage through Tegwyll's death triggers, and disrupting enemy game plans with a dense package of cheap counters, bounce spells, and goad effects. Mana ramp at 2 CMC smoothly enables a turn-3 commander play followed by turn-4 token generation via Bitterblossom or Alela, Cunning Conqueror. While the deck plays strong individual control elements and possesses high late-game card flow via Kindred Discovery and Distant Melody, it finishes games primarily through combat. Must-answer board states materialize around turns 6-7 with heavy hitters like Shadow Puppeteers and Hullbreaker Horror, closing out opponents across two subsequent combat rounds. The deck provides excellent board agility and resilience against single-target interaction, though it must navigate mass exile and sweepers carefully.
