Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red spellslinger burn strategy commanded by Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape. The deck's primary objective is assembling low-cost pingers that trigger whenever noncreature spells are cast, stacking noncombat damage across all opponents simultaneously. In the early turns, the deck sets up baseline mana and deploys Gandalf or secondary pingers such as Firebrand Archer and Coruscation Mage. By Turn 5, it introduces potent damage amplifiers like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, or Artist's Talent, which scale each 1-damage ping into 3 or 4 damage per spell. A flurry of 1-mana cantrips like Crash Through, Expedite, and Ancestral Anger rapidly depletes opposing life totals while refilling the hand. Supported by burst mana from Storm-Kiln Artist and Mana Geyser, the deck closes the game on Turn 6 with lethal table-wide burn and an enlarged Gandalf attacking for lethal trample damage.
