Deck overview

This Simic combo deck centers on Moritte of the Frost and Melira, Sylvok Outcast to abuse the persist mechanic for infinite death-and-entry loops. Moritte enters as a copy of a persist creature with two +1/+1 counters; when it dies, persist returns it with a -1/-1 counter, and its copy ability adds two +1/+1 counters that cancel out the -1/-1 counter via state-based actions. Paired with sacrifice outlets like Altar of Dementia, Blasting Station, or Phyrexian Altar, the deck generates infinite mill, infinite damage, or infinite mana to finish the game immediately on Turn 4. A dense suite of green creature tutors and blue artifact tutors ensures exceptional consistency across its redundant pieces. The list also packs robust low-cost countermagic and proactive protection like Delighted Halfling and Tidal Barracuda, alongside secondary lockouts via Woodfall Primus and Glen Elendra Archmage.
