Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov midrange strategy centered on Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Liesa on Turn 4 to establish an evasive lifelink clock and tax every spell cast by opponents for 2 life. By leveraging Liesa's lifelink and high life totals, the deck offsets its own life losses while steadily draining the table. The supporting 99 features a mix of heavy-hitting Angels, Vampires, and Demons such as Avacyn, Angel of Horror, Massacre Wurm, and Ob Nixilis, the Ascended to dominate the skies and sweep opposing boards. Liesa's unique commander tax rule allows her to bypass mana inflation by paying 2 life, providing resilient commander recast velocity even under heavy removal. While the deck boasts resilient mid-game threats and versatile removal, it lacks explosive card draw engines, dedicated tutors, and compact combo finishes, requiring steady combat attrition across multiple turn cycles to close out games.
