Y'shtola Control (High Bracket 3) by fortune317

Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leads an Esper control deck that wins through incremental drain and card advantage, not combos. Y'shtola draws cards when anyone loses 4+ life and drains 2 per opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell of mana value 3 or more. The deck chains cheap interaction and draw into repeated triggers, stacking Bloodchief Ascension, Sheoldred the Apocalypse, and Shark Typhoon to close games. Secondary paths include reanimator value with Sheoldred, Whispering One and Virtue of Persistence, and token pressure from Shark Typhoon and Inkshield. Emet-Selch of the Third Seat acts as a hidden commander, letting you recast instants and sorceries from the graveyard for extra triggers.
