Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Eriette of the Charmed Apple, focusing on an Aura-centric control, pillowfort, and life-drain strategy. The deck seeks to pacify, neutralize, and goad opposing threats by attaching versatile Auras directly to enemy creatures. Eriette renders all enchanted creatures unable to attack the pilot, creating an asymmetric combat barrier while steadily draining opponents for life equal to the total number of Auras controlled at each end step. Supported by enchantress draw engines like Sram, Senior Edificer and Mesa Enchantress, cost reducers such as Killian, Ink Duelist, and powerful late-game finishers like Wound Reflection and All That Glitters, the deck controls the flow of combat and steadily grinds down the entire table. Its resilience is reinforced by layered totem armor, recursion spells like Brilliant Restoration, and asymmetric sweepers like Winds of Rath.
